Reliable Classification of Cannabis Varietals and Potential for Desirable Medicinal and Agronomic Effects
On Demand

Cannabis produces an extraordinarily rich diversity of metabolites with the current tally reaching in excess of 700 compounds. Of the hundreds of metabolites in cannabis, cannabinoids, terpenoids, and flavonoids are among those with the most wide ranging bioactivities. For producers and end users, the genetic and expressed chemical content can have profound impacts on the yields produced and effects experienced, yet, current methods for differentiating cultivars are immature and generally unreliable. Presented here is an approach to statistically categorizing cannabis cultivars on the basis of their genetic and chemical content in an effort to aid in the selection of optimal cultivars to grow or consume to satisfy specific requirements.
During this talk we will discuss:
- Statistically categorizing cannabis cultivars based on their genetic and chemical content.
- Using this analysis to aid in the selection of optimal cultivars to grow or consume which satisfy specific requirements.
