Discussion on Approaches to Simplify Pesticide & Mycotoxin Testing in a ISO17025 Cannabis or Hemp Laboratory

On Demand

Published: May 17, 2022

Cannabis & hemp pesticide and mycotoxin testing workflows can be challenging, prone to error and time-consuming for laboratories that have high sample load volumes. Strategies to simplify testing processes, that improve overall lab efficiencies and reduce experimental error will be presented and discussed, including implementation of preformatted ISO17034 reagents and internal standards, a fully automated sample preparation and quantitation workflow and a cannabis specific Laboratory Execution System (LES). Material will be presented to show how labs can leverage technology to achieve higher data accuracy, minimize handling errors while reducing hands-on time, and increase throughput and reproducibility.

During this talk we will explore:

  • Strategies to simplify testing processes, that improve overall lab efficiencies and reduce experimental error.
  • Implementation of preformatted ISO17034 reagents and internal standards.
  • A fully automated sample preparation and quantitation workflow and a cannabis specific Laboratory Execution System (LES).
