Speaking at The Science of Cannabis Extraction 2020 Online Symposium in June, Heather Despres, Director of Patient Focused Certification discussed Good Manufacturing Practices, and how they can be applied to cannabis and hemp manufacturing operations.
Abstract: The world of cannabis and hemp manufacturing is continuing to expand and reach more and more consumers. There is a great responsibility in manufacturing these products to ensure the health and safety of not only the consumer but the workers who are making the products. This session will discuss how to apply the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to cannabis and hemp manufacturing operations as well as discuss options that will enable operators to be successful with compliance audits.
