Abstract: Reference materials play a critical role in cannabis workflows – your results are only as accurate as your reference material. This presentation will discuss attributes of reference materials and how they affect the quality of your analytical results. An introduction to reference materials including common terminology, approaches to characterization, and best practices for use in your analytical lab such as calibration, proper handling and storage will be presented. We will also review reference materials available for Cannabis testing including multi-component standards that can contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of your workflow.
