Precision in Cannabis Manufacturing: Precise dosing, pharmacokinetics and other markers aid in improving the product quality of infused food condiments and beverages
With the advent of target compound infusion, formulation of cannabinoid products has become
increasingly complex. Dynamic and electrophoretic light scattering techniques can be used to
characterize and help discern the emulsion particle size and Zeta potential of these encapsulated
cannabinoid extracts.
In this study, AAL, Inc. has partnered with Anton Paar USA, to explore the particle
characteristics as well as rheological properties of these emulsions. Such explorations will aid
manufacturers to optimize their products for bioavailability, lower onset times, optimized mouth
feel and emulsion shelf stability. Precise dosing, pharmacokinetics and other markers will be
discussed that can aid in improving the product quality of infused food condiments and
beverages.
