The California-based SC Labs has “joined forces” with the Colorado-based Agricor and Botanacor Laboratories.

In a statement, the three cannabis testing labs say the new partnership will form “the foundation of a national testing network.”

Based out of Santa Cruz, California, SC labs is one of the state’s more prominent cannabis testing labs, being the official testing partner of both the Emerald Cup and the California State Fair.

Based out of Denver, Colorado, Agricor and Botanacor primarily test cannabis and hemp, respectively. Botanacor was the first lab in the state to receive certification from Colorado’s Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to carry out certain hemp tests in 2021.

“Agricor, Botanacor, and SC Laboratories have well-earned reputations for delivering high-efficacy results, through a ‘science-first’ approach to product quality, safety, and compliance,” Carl Craig, CEO of Agricor and Botanacor Laboratories, said in a statement.

“With operations in Colorado, California, and Oregon, the newly combined operation is uniquely positioned to support multi-state cannabis operators, as well as hemp producers within the U.S. and throughout the world.”

The labs have reportedly been in discussions for months about the partnership and went through an audit and blind sample comparison process to validate their mutual approaches to testing.
