 Medicinal and recreational use of cannabis has increased rapidly in recent years. Like other crops, cannabis is susceptible to insects, mold, and chemical residue contamination. Pesticides and antifungals have been applied to cannabis to increase yields however these substances may cause human harm if they are consumed by users. Sensitive and selective detection of these residues is necessary for consumer protection. QuEChERS extraction and LC-MS analysis offers effective and efficient detection of such chemical residues.
